Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team, responsible for the setup and operation of Hurco mills on the first shift. This role involves producing custom parts for custom packaging machines, offering a high degree of independence. The machinist will set up materials, operate Hurco mills, and may occasionally work on vertical mills. The position requires quality checks using calipers and gauges, with the flexibility to perform multiple setups daily.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Hurco mills to produce custom parts.
- Perform 3-8 different setups daily, rarely involving production runs.
- Check part quality using calipers and gauges.
- Potentially work on vertical mills, leveraging prior experience.
- Edit machine programs and perform conversational programming.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machine setup.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of CNC mill operation experience.
- Ability to set up machines per print specifications.
- Proficiency in editing programs at the machine.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Proficient in using micrometers and calipers for quality checks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with the Hurco brand.
- Programming experience.

Work Environment
The first shift offers flexible hours, typically from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with a standard 40-45 hour workweek. Overtime is available, with time and a half paid after 40 hours and double time after 50 hours. The work involves crossing the parking lot between buildings as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $58000.00/yr.
