Job Description
This role focuses on performing high-quality TIG and occasional MIG welding on complex stainless steel fabrications. You will read and interpret welding blueprints, lay out components accurately, and complete precise welds and finishing work in a large fabrication shop that supports the food production industry. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule and requires strong attention to detail, technical welding expertise, and the ability to work independently with your own tools and protective equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints and welding callouts to determine job requirements and specifications.
- Determine component layouts based on blueprints and project requirements, ensuring accurate fit-up and alignment.
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel components, meeting precise tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform occasional MIG welding as needed to support project and production requirements.
- Fabricate, assemble, and fit stainless steel and aluminum components according to layouts and drawings.
- Execute finishing work and secondary operations to ensure completed parts meet required finish and appearance standards.
- Verify dimensions, layouts, and weld quality, maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout the fabrication process.
- Use personal welding tools, including welding helmet, gloves, and metric tools, in a safe and effective manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with other shop personnel to complete complex fabrication projects efficiently and on schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience fabricating stainless steel components for industrial applications.
- Experience working with aluminum in a fabrication or welding environment.
- Strong blueprint reading skills for complex assemblies and layouts.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks from layout through finishing.
- Comfort working in a high-precision environment that supports food production equipment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
