The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining Food Safety, Quality, and HACCP systems to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing facility. This role oversees product testing, process controls, raw material and finished product release, and non-conforming product decisions, while leading customer, regulatory, third-party, GMP, and hygiene audits. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Manager investigates customer complaints and quality incidents, drives corrective actions, develops SOPs and quality documentation, and delivers site-wide quality reporting, KPIs, and trend analysis. As a member of the plant leadership team, this role manages the Quality department’s budget, staffing, and performance, builds site quality capability through training and coaching, and supports cross-functional and cross-site collaboration.
Responsibilities- Lead and maintain Food Safety, Quality, and HACCP systems.
- Oversee product testing, process controls, and product release.
- Make decisions on non-conforming products.
- Lead audits including customer, regulatory, third-party, GMP, and hygiene.
- Investigate customer complaints and quality incidents.
- Drive corrective actions and develop SOPs and quality documentation.
- Deliver site-wide quality reporting, KPIs, and trend analysis.
- Manage the Quality department’s budget, staffing, and performance.
- Build site quality capability through training and coaching.
- Support cross-functional and cross-site collaboration.
- Experience in quality assurance and GMP.
- Proficiency in conducting audits.
- Understanding of FDA regulations and HACCP principles.
- Experience with batch record review and food safety.
- Document control expertise.
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years of FDA/GMP quality experience, ideally in food.
- Working knowledge of BRC, FSSC, and Global Food Safety standards.
The role operates in a plant environment with an R&D lab and offices. The schedule is primarily 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with potential flexibility into 2nd shift on some days. The team comprises 15 direct reports, including 1 team lead and 1 supervisor.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
