Job Title: Bindery Machine Operator

Job Description

As a bindery machine operator, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up equipment according to job specifications. Your role will involve inspecting inserts, understanding job tickets, performing preventative maintenance, and operating machinery such as cutters and folders.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications and schedule for proper equipment setup.
• Visually inspect inserts before, during, and after run time to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and understand job tickets for specifications and instructions.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good condition.
• Maintain records of frequently used parts and ensure they are changed as needed.
• Operate cutters and count out samples of each job.
• Set up and use right-angle folders and trimming/perforating attachments.

Skills/Equipment Overview

• 1+ years of experience operating commercial folders and commercial cutters.
• Proficiency in machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to set up machinery efficiently.
• Inserting Machines
• Cutting Machine (115 Polar Cutter)
• Folding machine (B-30 MBO Folder)
• Inkjet (Eagle 30 MCS Inkjet system)
• 3125 Label Aire machines.

Shift Hours and Pay

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday from 6:00am-2:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday from 2:00pm - 12:30am
• Pay ranges depending upon experience and an interview, from $18 for entry level candidates (less than one year of experience) to 24+

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $41600.00/yr.
