The role involves supplying fresh produce and vegetables to grocery stores. You will utilize a pallet jack and RF scanner to pick and assemble orders, build stable and well-cubed pallets for shipping, shrink-wrap, and label products/pallets with the correct truck, destination, and other required information. Maintaining cleanliness and order in warehouse areas is essential.
Responsibilities- Pick and assemble orders using pallet jack and RF scanner.
- Build and shrink-wrap pallets for shipping.
- Label products/pallets with correct information.
- Ensure warehouse areas are clean and free from debris.
- Experience in picking, order picking, shipping and receiving.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Experience with forklift operations.
- Proficient in inventory count and general labor.
- Ability to work in a cool environment (35-50 degrees).
- Flexibility with shift end times as they vary with the seasons.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is cool, ranging from 35 to 50 degrees. Employees go up and down aisles to grab products and place them on pallets. There are two shift options: 4pm until completion, often around 1am, or 11am to 7:30pm. The team size is roughly 10 employees per shift, all performing similar tasks. Dress code recommends warm clothing like sweatshirts and winter hats.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
