Job Description

As a 1st Shift Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating sit-down gas forklifts and may also handle equipment such as skid steers and balers. Your primary duties will include stacking and moving and transporting materials throughout the facility, and emptying full containers. You will also conduct general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment and assist wherever needed within the facility. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, and you will be working in an environment that can be dirty, hot, and loud due to the nature of the materials handled.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down gas forklifts.
• Stack and move recycling materials and garbage.
• Transport materials throughout the facility and empty full containers.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment.
• Assist in various tasks around the facility as needed.

Essential Skills

• 2-5 years of forklift operating experience.
• Experience in material handling.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (50lbs+).
• Proficiency with heavy equipment, skid steer, loader, and pallet jack.
• 1+ year of small equipment operating.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general labor and loading.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Mills, WI.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
