Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for new process development, capital equipment procurement, and driving continuous improvement in current processes relative to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of manufacturing strategy within areas of responsibility.
- Conceptualize, specify, install, and qualify equipment and tooling.
- Plan and lead projects from start to finish.
- Support new product introductions through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Estimate staffing requirements, production cycle times, costs, and capacity to provide data for operational decisions.
- Manage day-to-day project activities including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work activities.
- Create drawings directly or through others.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process issues.
- Lead formal problem-solving initiatives leveraging 8D methodology.
- Serve as an in-house expert on metal forming processes.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to peers and operators to help them develop their knowledge and solve problems.

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or extensive equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting metal fabrication processes and associated tooling, dies, automation, etc.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Experience with Industrial Controls and familiarity with automation.
- Experience in the acquisition and installation of new equipment and processes.
- Experience with 3D solid modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
The work environment involves working closely with various manufacturing technologies and equipment. The role requires collaboration with team members to ensure seamless operations and improvements in manufacturing processes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lomira, Wisconsin.
Compensation:$110000
