We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sample Logistics Coordinator responsible for managing the shipping and logistics of non-hazardous research materials. This role involves coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, receiving materials, and managing inventory with a focus on temperature-controlled items.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and execute shipments of non-hazardous research materials, including temperature-controlled items such as peptides, proteins, and monomers, following IATA/DOT and external practices.
- Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and US Customs forms.
- Receive, catalog, and store chemical compounds such as peptides and amino acids in laboratory freezers.
- Manage onsite material inventory, assist with compound counts, and maintain accurate, organized records.
- Receive delivered goods, process 'Goods Receipt', and distribute incoming material to labs and designated areas.
- Direct onsite visitors to appropriate people or locations.
- Five years of experience managing shipping logistics in a biotech environment, preferably at a large multinational corporation.
- Five years of inventory management experience in a biotech environment, preferably at a large multinational corporation.
- Familiarity with IATA/DOT practices and procedures.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and execute tasks with minimal direction.
- Ability to routinely lift or push up to 25 pounds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
This position is based 100% onsite at our Madison, WI location. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with the requirement to manage materials and shipments efficiently. A high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
