.Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician


Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support a large R&D program focused on the Cyberknife. The successful candidate will be involved in reworking electronic boards, bench testing, troubleshooting, and soldering tasks. This position requires the ability to read and understand schematics, and at times, the technician may work in the bunker testing area, attaching boards directly to devices for additional testing. Collaboration with bunker technicians or engineers is a key component of this role. Additionally, the technician will utilize cable drawing programs such as Visio, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Orcad to update drawings as necessary.


Responsibilities

  • Rework electronic boards as part of the R&D program.
  • Perform bench testing and troubleshooting on electronic components.
  • Conduct soldering tasks when required.
  • Read and interpret schematics to facilitate testing and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with bunker technicians or engineers during testing phases.
  • Utilize cable drawing programs to update and maintain design drawings.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electronics troubleshooting and testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
  • Experience with soldering and electronic assembly.
  • Familiarity with test equipment and printed circuit boards.
  • Expertise in debugging and circuit board re-work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in electronics engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in electronics testing.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in PCB troubleshooting and re-work.
  • Experience in making edits to existing designs.

Work Environment

The role involves working on highly regulated precision radiation devices in an onsite setting from Monday to Friday. The start time is flexible between 7:30-8:30 AM. The technician will work closely with a Sr. Technician who has 15 years of experience, providing a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Compensation:$31.25
