Designer Intern

As a Designer Intern you will play a key role on the Marshfield, WI Design Team that supports PCA's customers. In this role you will collaborate with customers and other team members to evaluate customers' needs and expectations, design packaging, build prototypes and make samples to submit to customers to ensure they receive cost effective and aesthetically appealing design solutions per their expectations. Prepare CAD specifications for production during the manufacturing process and partner with other team members to fulfill customer requests and offer guidance in respect to optimizing department and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in the Packaging Engineering program at the University of Wisconsin - Stout
  • Knowledge of corrugated structural design principals
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & visual)
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts
  • Close attention to detail and commitment to flawless execution
  • Technical understanding, must be proficient in the use of CAD software, Microsoft Office, materials and manufacturing process
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
