Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician / Operating Engineer
Job Description
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, grounds equipment, and HVAC. You will clean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. Additionally, you will assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems, replace and repair building finishes, and troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
- Clean, lubricate, and service a variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
- Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment.
- Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives related to building operations and practice safe work habits.
- Use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
- 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer service skills
Work Environment
Facilities maintenance within a large manufacturing facility
Report to Chief Engineer
Maintenance in office areas and in the plant
Steel toed boots and jeans or work pants required
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $70720.00/yr.
