Low Voltage Technician

Location: Nationwide Travel Required

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will travel to job sites across the United States to install, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot a variety of low voltage control systems. Your work will be critical in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of systems such as CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, and audio communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage control systems.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Install and configure CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, and audio communication systems.
  • Pull, terminate, and testCat5/Cat6cabling.
  • Perform system diagnostics and resolve technical issues on-site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and job site protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in low voltage systems and structured cabling.
  • Experience with Cat5/Cat6 installation and termination.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Minimum1 year of experience in low voltage or related technical field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the United States (up to 75–100% travel).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Work Environment

  • This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel to job sites nationwide. Work may involve climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
