We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food production equipment. The role involves emergency and scheduled maintenance, ensuring that all machinery is prepared for production runs, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on food production equipment.
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with packaging and production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Conduct various plumbing maintenance and electrical functions.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- 3+ years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- 3+ years of preventative maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of blueprint reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a high-speed production environment required.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes GMP food manufacturing conditions with refrigerated areas maintained at 30-40 degrees. The facility is known for supplying quality custom meats to some of the world’s best-known restaurant chains and food companies since 1985.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $72800.00/yr.
