Job Title: 3rd Shift QA Technician


Job Description

The QA Technician will divide their time between laboratory analysis and production floor inspections. They will have the flexibility to determine their rotation schedule, typically alternating daily or weekly.


Responsibilities

  • Perform quality checks on production lines every hour, including label verification and inspection for dents or deformities.
  • Work with Certifications of Analysis to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct solids testing, titratable acidity, salt tests, Brookfield viscosity, and other laboratory tests.
  • Regularly conduct taste tests to ensure product quality, particularly focusing on mustard.
  • Place products on hold, retain samples, and periodically pull expired products for analysis.
  • Collect and send micro samples to third-party laboratories.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Food laboratory experience.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in the Sciences or related field.
  • Understanding of GMP or HAACP if no degree is held.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in the sciences or food quality.
  • 6 months of laboratory experience.

Work Environment

This role is based in a mid-sized mustard manufacturing facility located in Pleasant Prairie. The position operates during the 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:15am, Sunday through Thursday.
