Job Title: Analytical Chemist


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist to perform routine analytical chemical testing on a variety of samples including raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, water samples, and more. This role involves conducting specialized analytical testing to support development projects and troubleshoot methods as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine analytical chemical testing on products submitted to the lab, including raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, water samples, and cleaning samples.
  • Perform specialized analytical testing as directed by the Laboratory Manager to support development projects and troubleshoot methods.
  • Document all results according to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Review the work of other laboratory personnel as required.
  • Learn and practice all aspects of laboratory instrumentation, including gas chromatography (GC), High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR.
  • Support cleaning validations and engineering trials through analytical work.
  • Compile and summarize data as required.
  • Perform general housekeeping and glassware cleaning.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by the Lab Manager.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in HPLC and GC techniques.
  • Strong foundation in analytical chemistry.
  • Ability to document and review laboratory results accurately.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as UV/Visible Spectrophotometry and FTIR.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or any Laboratory Sciences Degree.
  • 1+ years of experience in a GMP lab is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is an OTC Manufacturing Analytical Chemistry Laboratory
