Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume food production facility by handling, packaging, and preparing powdered products on both retail and bulk production lines. You will work on various stages of the production process, including bagging, sealing, stacking, and loading products, while following safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle bags of product on retail lines that frequently weigh between 1–20 pounds and occasionally between 21–50 pounds.
- Handle bags of product on bulk lines that frequently weigh up to 100 pounds.
- Read ingredient labels accurately and count the number of bags on each pallet to ensure correct quantities.
- Place scoops into cans, jars, or buckets and securely place lids on each container.
Essential Skills
- Ability to frequently lift and handle bags of product weighing 1–20 pounds and occasionally 21–50 pounds for retail production.
- Ability to frequently lift and handle bags of product weighing up to 100 pounds for bulk production.
- Experience in general production or general labor environments.
- Ability to read and understand ingredient labels and count bags accurately on pallets.

Work Environment
The role is based in a powdered food production facility where food particles may be present in the air in certain areas. Safety and cleanliness are critical, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. Employees wear a full uniform from head to toe, including a safety hat, hair net, safety glasses, jacket, pants, and steel-toe footwear. Work is performed on production lines handling both retail and bulk products, with exposure to machinery, packaging equipment, and material handling tasks. Current openings include both retail and bulk lines on multiple shifts, with standard hours of Monday–Thursday, 1st shift from 5:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and 2nd shift from 4:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., plus a shift differential for 2nd shift. Overtime typically occurs on Fridays, with some mandatory overtime days, and schedules may adjust around holidays, including operating Sunday–Wednesday during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.45 - $20.45/hr.
