Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to guide the transition from an old ALM to a new ALM system. This role involves collaborating with global product teams, assisting with new features and designs, creating standardized processes, and influencing change management. You will play a pivotal role in reviewing processes, taking feedback, and implementing best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of incremental features for the new Systems Engineering Application Lifecycle Management tool.
- Gather stakeholder inputs and existing best practices across key product teams.
- Define a draft 'standard work' proposal, including process definition, training package, and proposed tool configuration.
- Communicate new standard processes to all users.
- Triage feedback received into categories such as 'Must fix', 'Productivity improvement', and 'Nice to have'.
- Submit formal change requests for implementation and oversee deployment.
- Create summaries explaining the triage process.
- Develop and deploy training during initial deployment, monitor user requests for enhancements, and iterate as needed.
- Collaborate with design leads to identify clusters of features with similar implementations.
- Understand how country-specific requirements, such as languages and regulations, influence the program and tool.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 7 years of systems engineering work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with ALM tools.
- Minimum 3 years of product development experience in design engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional, global project team.
- Familiarity with industry design, regulatory, and safety standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of work experience in design and product development of medical devices.
- Knowledge of medical device regulatory and safety standards, including ISO, FDA, and IEC60601.
- Experience leveraging external organizations and university resources.
- Ability to interpret and explain complex technical information.
- Experience and ability to influence and teach technical subject matter around Systems Engineering.
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in Waukesha, WI.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Waukesha, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
