Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role requires hands-on experience in providing white-glove support to end users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Windows environments, onboarding/offboarding processes, and experience with automation tools.
- Deliver white-glove desktop support to executives and staff, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for Windows 10 systems, including OS issues, application errors, and performance optimization.
- Manage onboarding and termination processes, including user account creation, permissions management, and deprovisioning in Active Directory and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- Perform hardware imaging and deployment for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring proper configuration and security compliance.
- Support and maintain telephony systems, including VoIP phones and conferencing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues (PCs, laptops, peripherals) and printer support across multiple locations.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation of routine tasks, system configurations, and reporting.
- Apply patch management and assist with system updates to maintain security and compliance.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years in desktop support or IT support roles with a focus on end-user interaction.
- Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Windows 10 troubleshooting and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, and imaging tools.
- Familiarity with telephony systems and printer troubleshooting.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Automation experience using PowerShell.
- Soft Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supporting a diverse user base.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
