Overview:Responsible for inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical components, alarm systems, light systems, building electrical systems, and sound systems. Salary Details: $32.22 / hr Responsibilities:<ul><li>Repair, program, and maintain 2-way radio equipment. Repair and maintain closed circuit cameras, supporting monitors and recording equipment.</li><li>Repair and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen-Bradley PLCs.</li><li>Support Ride Maintenance Technicians on repairs to rides, vehicles and/or show equipment.</li><li>Repair and maintain a wide variety of electronic field devices such as photo-eyes, proximity sensors, limit switches, micro-switches, amplifiers, etc. as required.</li><li>Provide system training and documentation.</li><li>Generate and update additional lighting paperwork such as Instrument Schedule, Circuiting, and Patching for the light plot.</li><li>Review and communicate clear goals of lighting design projects with management. Schedule adequate time with the Director for design execution.</li><li>Recommend equipment and vendors to keep up with industry trends and show requirements.</li><li>Provide and maintain light plot and associated paperwork for the artistic concepts of the Director within budgetary constraints established for each production and special event.</li><li>Accomplish and supervise all lighting notes during tech and run of show or special event.</li><li>Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting practices and reporting of unsafe situations.</li><li>Keep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion. (i.e., logbooks, inspection forms, etc.)</li><li>Ensure that rides are clean and visually in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, guest, and Knott’s Berry Farm expectations.</li><li>Clean maintenance shops, including but not limited to stations, equipment, and tools.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school is preferred, but not required.</li><li>Working knowledge of the proper utilization and care of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.</li><li>Experience with logic systems including relay and Programmable logic control.</li><li>Experience with drives, including AC frequency and DC drives.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment.</li><li>Ability to read/write, comprehend instructions and communicate in English.</li><li>Ability to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 320 feet above ground.</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.</li><li>Valid State Driver’s License required.</li></ul>

Electronics Technician 

Overview:Supervises and coordinates the departments activities in maintaining and repairing mechanical parts of pumps, cranes, compressors, automobiles, trucks, tractors, and similar equipment used in construction and maintenance. Inspects defective equipment in shop or field to determine extent of wear or damage to direct repairs. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in production machining and repair of metallic or nonmetallic workpieces, applying knowledge of machine shop procedures, machine tool setup, welding, operating techniques, and production machining methods. Salary Details: $70,304 - $80,000 / yr based on overall experience  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, codes, standards, and industry practices relating to Machine Shop and Automotive maintenance and Plumbing trade work. Understand and operate according to State & Federal regulations, Company policy/procedures, and all safety requirements. Remain compliant with all health and safety rules and regulations applicable to the company.</li><li>Responsible for planned schedule creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and down time reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving key performance ensuring that project schedules, deadlines, health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to.</li><li>Manage, plan, control and organize the planned preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on all of the fleet and other equipment in order to maximize their lifespan and ensure safety. This involves monitoring the performance of mechanical machinery ensuring remedial work is undertaken to prevent failure/loss of the facilities and equipment. Monitor the production of jobs and allocate the work on a daily basis to the mechanical technicians, monitoring progress and inspecting completed work to ensure the required standards are achieved.</li><li>Asses the needs for stocking critical spare parts for continuous production on all critical components. Assess the need of consumables and PPE to support repair efforts.</li><li>Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required.</li><li>Maintain departments operating expenses within approved budgets. Ensure that resources are used for optimum effect.</li><li>Provide technical and organizational leadership to departments. Motivate and coordinate department employees and handle any disciplinary issues that arise.</li><li>Manage the introduction and purchase of new machinery, plant and equipment from specifications, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant work orders. Coordinate with the Purchasing Department the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal.</li><li>Manage the application of and supervision of machine shop theories and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques: Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Associate's degree / vocational or technical school degree, emphasis in Mechanical/Automotive/HVAC/Welding/Plumbing is required. Preferred focus in Mechanical and/or Structural Trades.</li><li>Certifications in Mechanical and/or Plumbing Trades preferred.</li><li>At least 10+ years of prior, work related job experience.</li><li>Requires independent decision making, nonstandard problem solving, troubleshooting, planning, organizing and the supervision of Machine Shop, Automotive and Plumbing trades.</li><li>Thorough background in reading, modifying, or correcting blueprints, sketches, and drawings. Must fully comprehend manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and/or setup requirements. Must be able to manage and verify employee techniques and work in same.</li><li>Must be detail oriented to guide and instruct employees in trouble shooting and finding causes of mechanical, plumbing and electronic malfunctions.</li></ul>

Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance Mechanical

Overview:The Train Engineer assists in the safe operation and maintenance of Steam Locomotives and other railroad equipment as required to support the activities of a large amusement facility.  Train Engineers will also conduct routine track work and repairs. Salary Details: $20.00 / hr Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures guest safety by assisting guest with boarding, riding, and disembarking the locomotive and passenger cars.</li><li>Learns, adheres to and enforces all train rider policies and procedures.</li><li>Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspection of railroad rolling stock, tracks, and related equipment, providing documentation as required.</li><li>Performs routine maintenance and lubrication of railroad rolling stock, tracks and related equipment, providing documentation as required.</li><li>Properly stabilizes equipment during unforeseen, emergency or unusual situations to ensure quest and employee safety.</li><li>Under the direction of a mechanic, assists with various repairs and preventative maintenance duties as needed to maintain proper operation of equipment.</li><li>Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.</li><li>Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>At least 18 Years of Age</li><li>Must have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in the mechanical maintenance industry.</li><li>High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.</li><li>Working knowledge of basic mechanical principles such as gear ratios, torque, proper use of common hand tools, common mechanical nomenclature, etc.</li><li>Familiarity with common types of bearings, bushings, couplers, shafting and similar power transmission components.</li><li>Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamental principles of either pneumatic system of hydraulic systems; preferably both.</li><li>Ability to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 300 feet above ground.</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years if age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.</li></ul>
