Includes prototype work, welding and analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations. To perform journeyman level welding, machining, and fabrication of metals and special alloys to maintain, repair, design, and modify rides, vehicles and construction related items; and to construct specialized devices, parts and structures as requested. Salary Details: $28.64 / hr - $37.24 / hr Responsibilities:<ul><li>Machinist duties include setting up and operating conventional, special-purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers. Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts and fitting/assembling machined parts into complete projects, parts or units. Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques: Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Machinist 

Overview:Performs, installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, furnaces, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units. Salary Details: $32.22 - $41.48 / hr, based on experience.  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Repairs and maintains ice machines and ice-making equipment.</li><li>Assists in the maintenance of various other equipment, such as food preparation equipment; on an as-needed or as-assigned basis.</li><li>HVAC Technician must be able to install, repair, adjust, maintain, retrofit and troubleshoot refrigerant controls, compressors, heat pumps, split systems, ductless splits, packaged units, electric motors, motor controls, commercial furnaces and related controls, water pumps, exhaust fans, unit heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, sizes of air compressors and air dryers and related accessories and controls, chillers, (reciprocating, screw and centrifugal), cooling towers, automation control systems and all types of glycol systems. Overview:Executes the daily operation, ongoing maintenance, installation and annual projects assigned for the Utilities Plumbing Department. Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in amusement and water parks. Maintains boilers, bathrooms, sinks, kitchen equipment, drains, lift stations, grease traps, and other related equipment as required to support a large amusement facility. Maintains Fire Systems and performs minor repairs. Responsibilities and requirements may vary by location. Salary Details: $32.22 / hr  Responsibilities: <ul><li>Audibly inspect plumbing devices while in operation to detect gas flow, water flow, proper operation, or any physical deviation and/or abnormality.</li><li>Service stand-by parts and equipment to be utilized when needed.</li><li>Perform routine preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures and systems.</li><li>Dismantles devices to gain access, remove, repair and replace defective parts.</li><li>Installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing, systems supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenance (planned internal inspections) on water rides and plumber installations, as well as preventative maintenance on plumbing equipment and machinery, based on manufacturer and park standards.</li><li>Tests and observes pressure gauges for leaks to repair if needed.</li><li>Reads blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and where plumbing systems exist and will be installed. Plumber

Overview:The Ride Electrician performs inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and annual rehabilitation of a variety of different amusement rides and attractions. Areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to) maintenance of: AC & DC motors, soft starts, PLC’s, sensors, switches, and dealing with voltages up to 480V.  This position also assists Ride Maintenance Technicians as required. Climbing and working safely at heights is an essential part of this job. Hourly Pay Rate: $32.22/hr. - $40.43/hr. The base pay rate offered is based on job-related experience, knowledge and skills. Responsibilities:<ul><li style="color: black;">Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, rebuilds and inspects ride electrical systems and components for proper operation according to Knott’s Berry Farm standards and policies. Receives and reviews various records and reports including inspection records, various logs, schedules, work orders, downtime reports, rehab reports, accident/incident reports, guest complaints, invoices, price quotes. specifications, etc.</li><li>Prepares and/or maintains purchase orders, performance appraisals, schedules, inspection reports, various logs, budget reports, downtime reports, incident/accident reports, safety meeting agendas, work orders, memos, various other reports, etc.</li><li>Operates a vehicle, various rides and related mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical control systems, overhead crane, forklift, man lift, hydraulic press, air compressor, diagnostic equipment, welding equipment, generators, steam cleaners, sand blaster, and a variety of equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, calculator, telephone, two way radio, camera.</li><li>Uses computer and clerical supplies, meters, gauges, measuring devices, mechanic's tools, measuring devices, hoists, climbing equipment, drafting tools, various other hand and power tools, etc.</li><li>Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, subordinates, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, manufacturer representatives, etc.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>Vocational / technical training in maintenance/mechanics preferred. </li><li>NAARSO LEVEL 1 RIDE INSPECTOR certification preferred.</li><li>AIMS Level 1 certification preferred.                                               </li><li>4 to 6 years of verifiable experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or amusement setting.</li><li>At least 1 to 3 years of prior leadership experience.</li><li>Valid Driver's License.</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.</li></ul>

Supervisor, Ride Maintenance

Overview:The Train Engineer assists in the safe operation and maintenance of Steam Locomotives and other railroad equipment as required to support the activities of a large amusement facility.  Train Engineers will also conduct routine track work and repairs. Salary Details: $20.00 / hr Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensures guest safety by assisting guest with boarding, riding, and disembarking the locomotive and passenger cars.</li><li>Learns, adheres to and enforces all train rider policies and procedures.</li><li>Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspection of railroad rolling stock, tracks, and related equipment, providing documentation as required.</li><li>Performs routine maintenance and lubrication of railroad rolling stock, tracks and related equipment, providing documentation as required.</li><li>Properly stabilizes equipment during unforeseen, emergency or unusual situations to ensure quest and employee safety.</li><li>Under the direction of a mechanic, assists with various repairs and preventative maintenance duties as needed to maintain proper operation of equipment.</li><li>Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.</li><li>Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>At least 18 Years of Age</li><li>Must have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in the mechanical maintenance industry.</li><li>High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.</li><li>Working knowledge of basic mechanical principles such as gear ratios, torque, proper use of common hand tools, common mechanical nomenclature, etc.</li><li>Familiarity with common types of bearings, bushings, couplers, shafting and similar power transmission components.</li><li>Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamental principles of either pneumatic system of hydraulic systems; preferably both.</li><li>Ability to work safely and effectively while elevated on ladders, platforms, or other structures at heights up to 300 feet above ground.</li><li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.</li><li>Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years if age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.</li></ul>
