Job Description
In this role, you will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for preventive quality engineering, systemic problem-solving, and customer quality execution throughout the product lifecycle. You will lead complex quality investigations, drive effective corrective actions, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to ensure products and processes meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience working within highly regulated manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of industry quality standards and certifications. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to root cause analysis, data-driven decision making, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead investigations into quality issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Support compliance with applicable aerospace and quality management system requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve process capability and product quality.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a technical quality leader for manufacturing and engineering initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on defect prevention and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in quality assurance and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- BS Degree in engineering with 5-10 years of experience or 10+ years without a degree.
- Experience with quality audits including 2nd and 3rd party audits.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and FEA.
- Mentorship and leadership abilities.
- Six Sigma certification.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Strong communication skills for exposing ideas and pushing back on other engineers.
- Ability to teach others and present data effectively.
- Experience conducting calls and meetings.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
This is an onsite position located in Huntsville, working from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM CST. You will be part of a team of four other entry to mid-level quality engineers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
