Job Title: Plant Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role supports a fast-paced manufacturing operation by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient production. The Plant Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment issues on production lines and support systems, and helps keep coffee and tea production equipment running reliably. The position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting abilities across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment on production lines and support systems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on coffee and tea production equipment to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures.
- Rebuild pumps and repair manufacturing-related machinery to ensure reliable and consistent performance.
- Complete scheduled work orders on time and accurately document all maintenance activities and findings.
- Assist with production line setups and changeovers to support smooth transitions and efficient production scheduling.
- Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and updates clearly and consistently across shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and operational standards while performing maintenance tasks.
- Use electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting techniques to diagnose root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and equipment documentation to support accurate installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Support installation and commissioning of equipment, including motors, conveyors, and related industrial systems as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including work with three-phase power and industrial electrical systems.
- Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for production equipment and support systems.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including diagnosis and repair of related components.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, including coffee and tea processing machinery.
- Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and repairing pumps and other manufacturing-related machinery.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Competence in completing and documenting work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational and regulatory standards.
- Effective communication skills to relay equipment issues and updates across shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance, or mechanical maintenance.
- Experience with installation and setup of motors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with food and beverage manufacturing processes and standards.

Work Environment
The role is based in a food and beverage manufacturing environment. You will work around industrial production lines, pumps, motors, conveyors, and related processing equipment. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, requiring attention to safety, cleanliness, and compliance with food manufacturing standards. Work is hands-on and performed on the production floor and surrounding support areas, with regular interaction with production and operations teams.
