Job Description
The Installation Technician supports the installation, assembly, cabling, and maintenance of equipment and related systems inside semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This hands-on role requires consistent use of safe work practices, strong mechanical aptitude, effective teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions and established installation procedures in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site equipment installation and maintenance in semiconductor fabrication facilities according to team instructions and project requirements.
- Install, route, secure, fold, and pull cables using basic cable-routing techniques and established standards.
- Use basic hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and correctly to support installation and assembly tasks.
- Work safely and accurately in a fast-paced semiconductor FAB and cleanroom environment, adhering to all safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Follow company procedures, customer requirements, safety rules, and established construction practices at all times.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, customers, and other project personnel to coordinate work and resolve issues.
- Identify installation issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex problems to lead team members when necessary.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, storage, movement, and distribution of project materials and equipment as needed to support project execution.
- Operate aerial lifts when trained and authorized, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Support mechanical assembly and retrofit activities related to robotics, automation, and purge systems as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project execution and overall company operations.
Essential Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for assembly, installation, and mechanical work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.

- Strong attention to safety, quality, integrity, and productivity in all tasks.
- Willingness and ability to wear cleanroom garments and required personal protective equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
- Ability to stand or walk for six or more hours per workday and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
- Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Ability to work in areas with yellow lighting typical of semiconductor fabrication facilities.
- Ability to operate aerial lifts after completing the required training and certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in semiconductor environments, equipment installation, construction, mechanical assembly, electrical cabling, low-voltage work, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or other controlled manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with power tools, basic troubleshooting, robotics, automation, and mechanical assembly or retrofit work.
- Exposure to semiconductor fabrication facilities and cleanroom protocols.
- OSHA, aerial-lift, or other relevant safety training or certifications.
- Reliable transportation and a track record of consistent attendance.
- Ability to interpret basic blueprints or technical diagrams related to installation and assembly.

Work Environment
This role is based in a semiconductor fabrication facility and cleanroom environment, working primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some overtime as project needs require. You will spend most of the shift inside a cleanroom, wearing appropriate cleanroom garments and a surgical mask, and adhering to strict contamination-control procedures. The position involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment, as well as working around advanced robotics, automation systems, and purge equipment specific to semiconductor manufacturing. You may complete two to three weeks of training in an office setting before transitioning to work inside the semiconductor FAB. The role requires ASTM F2413-compliant protective footwear, including safety-toe, mid-cut boots that cover the ankle, and consistent use of personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and safety-focused, with work performed under specialized lighting and within controlled facility conditions.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
