Performing Loan Consultant (Call Center)
Location: Tempe, AZ (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join a fast-paced call center environment as a Performing Loan Consultant. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for homeowners across the country, assisting with mortgage-related inquiries while helping customers navigate past-due payments and identify solutions to bring their loans current.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy
- Contact homeowners regarding past-due mortgage accounts to identify causes of delinquency
- Develop and negotiate customized payment plans to resolve outstanding balances
- Assist inbound callers with general mortgage servicing needs (payments, escrow, account questions, etc.)
- Accurately document all customer interactions and maintain detailed records
- Process mortgage payments and ensure compliance with company policies
- Identify and refer eligible customers for refinancing opportunities
- Meet and exceed performance goals, including quality and productivity metrics
- Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and company information
- Participate in ongoing training and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- 1+ year of customer service experience required (call center experience preferred)
- Collections, financial services, or mortgage experience is a plus but not required
- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to remain professional and composed in challenging customer interactions
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems
- Ability to multitask, navigate systems efficiently, and work independently
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
