Job Title: Industrial Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing labor data, supporting corrective action projects, and continuously improving processes in a production environment.


Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze labor data for both direct and indirect labor from various information systems and through direct observation.
  • Compare labor data against existing standards using provided templates, and recommend improvements to these templates if necessary.
  • Identify root causes of large variances to standards and propose effective corrective actions.
  • Support corrective action projects aimed at minimizing labor variances.
  • Author and update technical and process documentation as required, including labor routings and standards.
  • Conduct labor and process studies with in-person observation in production areas, including cleanroom environments.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity from multiple sources.
  • Perform detailed data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Lead initiatives for yield improvements, variability reduction, and product cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across the organization to support improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience managing labor standards data with a demonstrated track record.
  • Proficient in conducting time studies and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a GMP or laboratory environment.
  • Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training.
  • Project management skills with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with high initiative and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with staff at all levels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in continuous improvement and line balancing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead yield improvements and resolve technical problems.

Work Environment

This role requires spending several hours daily in production areas, which may include cleanroom environments. The candidate should be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and have a strong work ethic. The position involves interacting with personnel across various levels of the organization, necessitating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
