Job Title: CNC Machinist
Pay: Up to $40/hr
Job Description
This role focuses on the precise setup and operation of HAAS CNC mills using tools and material probes to produce high-quality components. The machinist reads and interprets blueprints, performs grinding and deburring, and conducts detailed quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills using tools and material probes to produce precision parts.
- Configure and verify proper machine settings before and during production runs.
- Make real-time adjustments to CNC programs or machine parameters to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Use material probes to accurately locate workpieces and verify dimensions during setup and machining.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications.
- Perform grinding and deburring operations to achieve required surface finishes and remove sharp edges or burrs.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address production issues and continuously improve processes.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience setting up and operating HAAS CNC mills with tools and material probes.
- Ability to ensure proper machine settings and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Hands-on experience with CNC setup, including use of material probes for part location and verification.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong skills in grinding and deburring machined parts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality inspections and verify part accuracy.
- Proficient use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Experience working with 2–3 axis and 3–5 axis CNC milling operations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience specifically with CNC HAAS mills and HAAS CNC setup.
- Familiarity with material probing techniques and various probe systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Comfort working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
