Job Title: 3rd Shift - Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
This role maintains and repairs industrial food processing equipment while supporting overall facility upkeep. You ensure reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems, perform facility repairs, and help maintain a safe, clean, and compliant production environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on industrial food manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues involving pumps, gears, pulleys, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including three-phase motors, and support basic adjustments or interventions involving PLC-controlled equipment.
- Carry out facility maintenance tasks such as hanging doors, repairing drywall, and performing basic plumbing work.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facility systems to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- Complete repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner while following safety procedures and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with production and facilities teams to prioritize work orders and support continuous operations.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards while working in a food manufacturing environment.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment to safely perform mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of pumps, gears, pulleys, and related equipment.
- Ability to work with electrical systems, including three-phase motors.
- Basic familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and the ability to support troubleshooting activities.
- Experience performing facility maintenance tasks such as hanging doors, drywall repair, and plumbing.
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures and maintenance instructions.
- Capability to work safely in a food manufacturing environment while following GMP standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with industrial food equipment or in the food industry.
- Background in facilities maintenance, including carpentry and general repairs.
- Comfort using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, facilities, and other maintenance staff.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
