Responsibilities
Aircraft Mechanic I performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft airframe, ordnance, egress/life support system, power plants, corrosion control and painting, and related systems hired to maintain. Perform flight line essential services as directed by daily Flight Schedule.
Maintains, repairs and modifies aircraft structures, aircraft ordnance systems, egress systems, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, aviation ordnance systems, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe, ordnance and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation. Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required. Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds' load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures.

Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent. Specialized training courses are desirable.
- Shall have completed the appropriate T/M required/Series aircraft specific Navy Skill Specialty Class "A" school in airframe, egress, hydraulic, ordnance, power plants and related systems or USMC/USCG equivalent.
- Shall have a minimum of three years of experience in USN/USMC/USCG O-Level maintenance in the specific T/M hired to maintain. This experience relates to structural repairs, hydraulics, egress, ordnance or power plants/related systems.
- Shall have a current state Driver's License
- Aviation Ordnance candidates experience shall be minimum five years O-Level experience.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a secret security clearance
- Candidates must have been released from military service with an Honorable Discharge to meet minimum qualifications.
