Job Title: Machine Operator / Shop Helper (CNC Training Opportunity 2nd shift)
Job Description
Join a small aerospace machine shop producing precision aircraft components. This role is a combination of machine operator and shop helper, supporting daily production while learning CNC operations. Candidates will be trained to eventually operate CNC machines independently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with machine operation and general shop duties.
- Load/unload parts and materials.
- Perform basic part inspections using calipers and other measuring tools.
- Read basic blueprints and follow work instructions.
- Use hand tools to support production and setup activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support production, quality, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- CNC machine operating experience preferred but not required.
- Candidates without CNC experience must have stable tenure in a machine operator or manufacturing role.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools.
- Ability to work with small precision parts and follow detailed instructions.
- Manufacturing, machining, or aerospace experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.15 - $26.15/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
