Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to lead the operation of our press line. This role involves ensuring efficient machine operation, quality assurance, and effective team management. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and machine operation.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the press line, including setup, machine start-up, running, and shutdown.
- Monitor color accuracy and print quality against approved samples and customer specifications.
- Identify and resolve equipment or printing issues to minimize downtime.
- Load rolls of film, mix inks and solvents, and manage viscosity to ensure consistent output.
- Direct and train press assistants to ensure efficient changeovers and operational flow.
- Complete production reports, job verification sheets, and quality assurance logs accurately.
- Experience in production, packaging, and machine operation.
- Proficiency with measurement tools and understanding of printing press operations.
- Ability to work in a bilingual environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurements.
- Ability to pass a color blind test and perform detailed visual inspections for defects.
- Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience is required.
- Specific experience with offset or rotogravure printing may be preferred.
- Physical ability to lift 50–60+ lbs frequently and stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift.

Work Environment
Work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with a focus on quality and precision. This position requires working the 2nd shift from 02:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The role involves physical activity, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Commerce, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
