Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler ($24/hour)
Job Description
This role involves safely operating a sit-down forklift, handling materials throughout the warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory counts in a small aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Perform regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy and support inventory control processes.
- Handle materials throughout the facility, including staging, organizing, and relocating items as needed.
- Support warehouse operations by packing and packaging materials according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse standards.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks such as receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Prior warehouse experience moving materials and maintaining inventory.
- Strong material handling skills, including loading, unloading, and staging materials.
- Experience with warehouse inventory processes, including counting and tracking stock.
- Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation.
- Commitment to working safely and following warehouse safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Familiarity with aerospace or similar high-precision environments.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
