- Directly supervise employees in the Sales department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Supervision of Internal customer service functions
- Responsiveness to customer requests for information, production launches, accuracy/timeliness.
- Internal communication with other sites on transfer business.
- Sales Responsibilities: Develop new sales opportunities.
- Existing product-existing customer; existing product–new customer; new product–existing customer, new product–new customer
- Find and win incremental spot business
- Negotiate within the boundaries set by the Company; look for opportunities to gain margin
- Manage customer agreements to ensure compliance to terms and quantities.
- Help work out cost problems
- Assist with collections
- Provide customer service to include developing and communicating solutions to quality/delivery issues and assisting with plant communications
- Develop product knowledge, including company and customer products
- Gather intelligence on market, customer, and competitors; establish relationships at all levels of the customer organization; communicate metal supply/price trends and drivers to the customer
- Monthly and quarterly progress reporting. Reporting requirements will include specific metrics for each category with corresponding critical actions to achieve success.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree; five years related experience and/or training. Sales experience with metal alloys and/or aerospace is highly preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred advanced proficiency with Excel(including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
