Production Planner (ERP / Manufacturing) – Aerospace Preferred
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to support daily manufacturing operations, ensure accurate ERP-driven planning, and drive continuous process improvements. This role plays a critical part in coordinating production schedules, maintaining inventory accuracy, and communicating cross-functionally with programming and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily production meetings to review schedules, priorities, and operational challenges
- Conduct shop floor walkthroughs to monitor production progress and identify issues in real time
- Manage and maintain ERP system data (Epicor preferred) to support accurate planning and tracking
- Oversee inventory tracking, including physical counts of Work-in-Progress (WIP)
- Provide daily updates and reporting to programming and cross-functional teams
- Generate and maintain monthly production and shipping reports
- Perform root cause analysis on production delays or inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with planners, production teams, and leadership to ensure on-time delivery
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the planning team as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in:
- Manufacturing planning
- Production scheduling
- Operations or supply chain environments
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Epicor strongly preferred) and/or MES systems
- Strong understanding of inventory control and production workflows
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.08/hr.
