Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description
The Quality Control Technician supports quality testing and data collection in a manufacturing environment producing diamond blades and core bits for construction, stone, and mining applications. You operate testing equipment, measure parts with precision tools, record results in Excel, and work independently at a designated workstation to ensure products meet strict quality standards.
1st shift - 8:30am to 5pm open to OT
$21/hr
Responsibilities
- Operate testing equipment to break segments and perform quality tests on blades and components.
- Measure blades and components using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
- Perform quality inspections and dimensional checks in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct destructive bend testing (DBT) and accurately document results.
- Record, organize, and maintain test data using a computer and Excel spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records for audits and traceability.
- Work independently at a designated workstation while following safety and quality guidelines.
- Handle production parts and materials, lifting up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Support general production and quality assurance activities as required in a warehouse workshop environment.
- Follow all safety protocols when working around large equipment and machinery such as production machines and forklifts.
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in measurements and documentation.
- Comfort working with measurements and numerical data in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Basic proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office, including experience using Windows applications.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
- At least 1 year of production experience or closely related manufacturing experience.
- Experience using calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspection.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both speaking and writing.
- Comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs when required.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs, stand or sit for extended periods, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.
- General understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and inspection tools.
- Competence using test equipment and inspection tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer competency for data entry, documentation, and use of basic software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing or quality inspection experience is preferred.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with destructive bend testing (DBT) and other quality test methods is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or Korean are a plus.
- Experience working in a warehouse or workshop environment with large equipment and machinery is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Comfort working around noise, dust, and varying temperatures in an industrial setting.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse workshop environment within a facility of approximately 120 employees operating on 1st and 2nd shifts. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with openness to overtime as needed. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toed shoes, while safety glasses are provided. Working conditions include erratic temperature control—hot in the summer and cold in the winter—and exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. You work around large equipment and machinery such as production machines and forklifts, and the role involves frequent lifting up to 35 lbs, standing or sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
