JOB TITLE: Mid/Senior Buyer/Planner
Pay: $40-$45 hourly (NON NEGOTIABLE)

Core Responsibilities:
- A Buyer II is responsible for the purchasing of current and newly designed product assuring lowest cost, on-time delivery, and processing of non-conforming product. The Buyer II will be responsible for the maintenance of the ERP data that supports production. Must be able to analyze data, recognize trends and develop appropriate strategies to meet company costs and supply requirements and develop solutions. Requires high levels of decision making with abilities in problem solving, reasoning, creativity, and analysis.
- Initiate and process Purchase Orders as defined by the outputs of MRP and the Planning team.
- Ensure Supplier’s adherer to pricing and lead time by ensuring on time delivery of product at the negotiated price.
- Work with cross-functional teams to address receiving, inspection, and inventory issue resolution.
- Responsible for tracking and managing backorders and providing input to Service Operations, Demand Planning, and Customer Service teams.
- Understand, implement, and react to job specific metrics.
- Ability to identify opportunities for savings and take on adjunct project functions to support Strategic Sourcing.
- Manage tracking metrics for buyers and suppliers to ensure performance standards are followed.
- Utilize excel for forecasting - need to have exp. of at least 1 year out
- May have to eventually work with NPI team
- Assigned to 2-3 product lines with 150-250 skus
- Handle all purchasing - they do have a sourcing team so will not really be sourcing new vendors but will be responsible for negotiating price of raw materials with current vendors
- Majority of suppliers are domestic but they do have some international so there will be times where they need to work with ports / customs from time to time
Qualifications:
- 4–5 years of experience in purchasing and planning
- Associate degree or BA in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
