Job Title: Human Resources Assistant
Responsibilities
- Print paycheck stubs and assist with payroll discrepancies.
- Set up new hire benefits and assist with open enrollment.
- Support leave of absence processing.
- Help with voice of the employee surveys.
- Assist with temp conversion processes: applications, scheduling drug tests, background checks, and onboarding.
- Provide employee relations assistance, including preparation for terminations and submission of final pay information.
- Prepare new hire packets and assist with orientation and benefit enrollment.
- Support the performance management process for hourly employees, including tracking reviews and following up with managers.
- Roll out engagement surveys for hourly employees and enter data.
- Perform floor walks and ad hoc research on commuter benefits.
- Conduct ER intakes and support compliance tasks, including tracking harassment training and updating current posters.
Essential Skills
- Human resources expertise and administrative support.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Proficiency in data entry, onboarding, customer service, and recruiting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of administrative experience in a corporate setting.
- 1+ year of HR experience is ideal.
- HRIS experience is highly preferred, regardless of the system.
- Employee relations experience is a significant advantage.
- Recruitment, onboarding, and orientation experience is beneficial.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a must-have for potential advancement.
Work Environment
This role is 100% onsite, with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Every other Wednesday, hours will flex from standard hours to third shift, starting between 12-1 PM and ending by 10 PM to cover the third shift HR team. The facility operates 24/7, with over 1300 employees divided between the production floor and corporate office. Fluency in Spanish is crucial for assisting with onboarding and orientations, as some employees speak only Spanish.
