The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Analyst to lead and support strategic data initiatives that drive operational excellence. In this pivotal role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute both short- and long-term projects that align with the department's mission, leveraging data and project management methodologies to deliver meaningful, measurable results. Success in this position requires a balance of strategic insight, operational efficiency, and strong attention to detail to ensure high-impact, sustainable outcomes across project initiatives.
Key duties:
• Plan, coordinate, and implement projects and process improvements to support organizational effectiveness.
• Facilitate assessments and lead change initiatives to streamline operations and enhance performance.
• Analyze project data to measure impact, identify issues, and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
• Develop project deliverables including reports, presentations, communications, and digital content.
• Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
Salary Range: $68,800.00/year - $141,000.00/year
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project coordination, program management, or operations-preferably in an academic, healthcare, or research environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience/training.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and evaluate projects with attention to detail and adherence to timelines.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, interpret, and present data to support decision-making and drive improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing reports, presentations, and digital communications.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
• Knowledge of or experience with UCLA policies, or compliance with academic/healthcare regulatory frameworks, is a plus.
• Must be able to report to work on-site (Westwood, Los Angeles) for a minimum of 3 days/week during first six months of hire.
