Architectural Project Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated a Project Manager to oversee and produce various aspects of projects, including design, production, and quality control. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, nurture strong relationships with all outside parties involved in a project, and ensure client satisfaction. This role also involves mentoring junior staff in project scheduling, budgeting, and work scope. Responsibilities
- Act as a project manager on specific projects, meeting budgets and deadlines.
- Assign project managers and teams to projects.
- Maintain project schedule and project budget.
- Provide research and respond to technical questions.
- Direct project team members regarding project scheduling, budgeting, and work scope.
- Coordinate with project team members on project issues and concerns.
- Understand and negotiate contracts.
- Attend client, agency, and consultant meetings as required.
- Sign/Seal drawings if authorized.
- Prepare complete proposals in coordination with the marketing group.
- Develop budgets, tasks, and contract negotiations for private and public clients.
- Provide overall project management and project team coordination, including preparation of complete and thorough proposals, project contract negotiations, billing and collections, programming, contract modifications, consultant contract negotiations, project schedule, project construction budget, and project work scope.
- Lead all aspects of the project.
- Oversee production work throughout all project phases.
- Maintain a high level of quality control.
- Provide constructability reviews of construction documentation.
- Lead or assist with project code analysis, using expert familiarity with building codes.
- Develop project program.
- Maintain project schedule and project construction budget.
- Lead in agency submittals.
- Lead the coordination and production of bid and construction administration documentation.
- Provide research and respond to technical questions.
- Present design to client for review and approval.
- Direct research, troubleshooting activities, technical design, and client, agency, and consultant coordination.
- Work with project team leaders to establish the project program and design.
- Establish the overall project schedules, milestones, and personnel assignments.
- Maintain consistent coordination with senior project manager.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge and skills in Revit.
- Current knowledge of professional codes, laws, computer applications, and trends.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with at least one design software (e.g., Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Ability to analyze multiple complex problems and implement creative solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master of Architecture or Master’s in Business Administration strongly preferred.
