Description

The Department of Radiation Oncology at UCLA is seeking a medical dosimetrist to join our team of dedicated medical physicists and dosimetrists. Our department employs state-of-the-art radiation therapy techniques and technologies to deliver exceptional patient care. We utilize advanced treatment machines, including TrueBeam, TrueBeam STx, Novalis Tx, Varian Ethos, and ViewRay MRIdian, and maintain an active interstitial HDR brachytherapy program.

Treatment planning is performed using a variety of systems and software. As part of the Medical Physics Division, dosimetrists are responsible for treatment planning for SBRT, IMRT, 3D conformal, total body irradiation, and HDR brachytherapy. They work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to support treatment simulation, ensure quality control, and contribute to departmental quality initiatives and process improvement efforts.

Our ideal candidate will be proficient in IMRT, SBRT and 3D conformal radiotherapy planning.
