Job Title: Batch Maker / Production Line Operator
Job Description
This role sets up, operates, and monitors equipment that mixes and blends ingredients for food production. You follow precise recipes, select and measure ingredients accurately, and ensure each batch meets quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and tend to mixing and blending equipment used in food production.
- Mix and blend ingredients according to established recipes and production specifications.
- Select, weigh, and measure ingredients accurately to ensure consistent product quality.
- Work on the mustard production line alongside the primary mustard batch maker to support daily output.
- Monitor equipment during operation and make basic adjustments to maintain proper mixing and blending.
- Follow all food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures while handling ingredients and equipment.
- Use a dolly to move materials and products, including loads up to 120 lbs when required.
- Use basic computer interfaces and screens to follow production instructions and record information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the food manufacturing facility.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals and timelines.
- Be reliable and punctual to support consistent and efficient production operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience in production or general production environments.
- Hands-on experience with machine operating in a manufacturing or similar setting.
- Food production or food manufacturing.
- Experience with batch mixing, blending, compounding, or mixing processes.
- Ability to work on a production line, including a mustard line environment.
- Capability to safely lift and move up to 120 lbs using a dolly as required.
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with a computer screen.
- Reliable work habits, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production with products such as sauces, condiments, or similar items.
- Familiarity with mixing and compounding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working in areas with strong food-related smells such as tomatoes or vinegar.
- Willingness to work overtime when available to support production demands.

Work Environment
You work in a food manufacturing facility that produces items such as mustard and other tomato- or vinegar-based products. The environment may have strong tomato or vinegar smells depending on your work area. The standard schedule is a first-shift role from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime available from time to time based on production needs. You operate and monitor production and mixing equipment, handle ingredients, and move materials using a dolly when needed. The facility follows food safety and sanitation standards, and you work as part of a production team in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
