You will administer and interpret the full range of audiological tests mainly in the inpatient setting from comprehensive Audiological evaluation, immittance measures, otoacoustic measures, electrophysiological measures from differentiation of conductive, cochlear, neural hearing loss, and pseudohypoacusis. You will s erve as the Audiology Coordinator for Newborn Hearing Screen Program.

You will also be responsible for the following:
  • Diagnostic services, including adapted audiologic evaluations and auditory electrophysiology (ABR and/or ASSR).
  • Audiologic treatment may include hearing aid and cochlear implant candidacy determinations; fitting, verifying and validating amplification systems; patient and family counseling, and communication with other care-providers for child/adult.
  • Patient and family counseling, and communication with other care-providers for child/adult.
  • Complete documentation reports of diagnostic and treatment services in a timely manner.
  • Provision of services in a manner consistent with CICARE goals and requirements.
  • Participate in Audiology, HNS and other medical staff teams to facilitate and promote best patient and family care.
  • Serve as audiology liaison between UCLA and the Newborn Hearing Coordination Center (HCC).
  • Provide education and support for hearing screeners at Ronald Reagan Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital
  • You will be required to float to hospitals/clinics in Santa Monica and Westwood.
Salary range: 58.49-77.17 hourly

Job Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Must hold or be eligible for California Audiology License
  • Must hold or be eligible for California Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • Experience in pediatric and adult audiology, including hearing aid dispensing
  • Experience in auditory electrophysiology (ABR and/or ASSR)
  • Ability to travel to Santa Monica or Westwood
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent documentation abilities
  • Able to efficiently learn new computer and clinic systems
