Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)
Own Projects. Drive Impact. Grow Fast.
📍 Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid)
Ready to Take the Lead?
If you're an HVAC engineer who's tired of being the person behind the scenes and ready to own projects, influence decisions, and accelerate your career, this is the opportunity you've been looking for. We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join a highly respected multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm delivering some of Southern California's most complex healthcare, institutional, and specialty facility projects.
This is not a production-only role. You'll be empowered to lead projects, collaborate directly with clients, coordinate across disciplines, and drive design solutions from concept through construction. If you've built a strong technical foundation and are ready for greater responsibility, visibility, and impact, we want to hear from you.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Own Meaningful Projects. You'll take responsibility for real project outcomes, not just portions of the design process.
Work on High-Profile Facilities
From healthcare campuses and specialty facilities to museums and themed environments, you'll contribute to projects that challenge your technical expertise and expand your experience.
Gain Direct Client Exposure
Build relationships with owners, architects, contractors, and project teams while becoming a trusted engineering resource.
Accelerate Your Career
Leadership opportunities are earned through performance and initiative, not simply years of tenure.
Join a Strong Engineering Culture
Work alongside experienced professionals who value collaboration, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.
What You'll Do
As a key member of the mechanical engineering team, you will:
- Lead HVAC design and multidisciplinary coordination on active projects

- Solve complex design and construction challenges in real time
- Prioritize deadlines and maintain project momentum in fast-paced environments
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across project teams
- Step into ongoing projects and quickly establish ownership and direction
- Ensure quality, constructability, and code compliance throughout the project lifecycle

- California-based project work
- HCAI (formerly OSHPD) healthcare facilities
