Job Description
As a Fabrication Operator, you will cut, shape, and assemble thin metal sheets to create components, HVAC ductwork, or structures based on engineering blueprints. You will operate machinery such as shears, press brakes, and lasers, and use tools to weld, rivet, or solder parts. Additionally, your duties will include measuring materials and inspecting finished products to ensure quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery including shears, press brakes, and lasers to cut, shape, and assemble metal sheets.
- Utilize hand tools such as chop saws and draw mills effectively.
- Measure materials accurately to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Inspect finished products to maintain quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints for accurate fabrication.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fabricator.
- At least 1 year of experience operating a brake press.
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and use of press brake machines.
- Experience with hand tools such as chop saws and draw mills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is highly desirable.
- Understanding the differences between aluminum and steel is advantageous.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oakland, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
