Job Description
The Industrial Engineer applies engineering techniques to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes. This includes human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Responsibilities
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
- Consider workflow, layout, and safety measures when designing industrial plants and facilities.
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
- Draft and design the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computers.
- Ensure design meets organizational and production goals.
- Study functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units, and identify areas of duplication.
- Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchasing equipment.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Oxnard, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.66/hr.
