Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

The Systems Engineer will collaborate closely with the software, hardware, and mechanical engineering departments to ensure the successful design and delivery of lunar products. Working directly with customers on requirements, the Systems Engineer will lead requirement definition, compile designs, and manage interfaces. The role involves significant documentation writing, validation, verification, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Define, control, and execute all processes needed for a successful design.
• Derive product and system requirements from customer requirements and specifications.
• Lead requirement definition for Earth observation, risk management, hardware/software integration, lunar, and satellite projects.
• Work closely with customers to ensure their requirements are met.
• Manage the interface between different engineering disciplines.
• Write detailed documentation and perform validation and verification tasks.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of Systems Engineering experience with Space products.
• Strong working knowledge of software, hardware, and other engineering disciplines.
• Experience with requirement definition and risk management.
• Proficiency in documentation writing, validation, and verification.
• US Citizenship required.

Work Environment

The work environment offers a unique opportunity to design products that will quickly be deployed in space. With a smaller team, you will have the chance to work on the full product life cycle. Currently, there are more programs than engineers on staff, and products are customized per program/customer and used on multiple programs including lunar and Mars missions.
