Job Description
We are seeking a reliable food service worker/dishwasher to support daily food service operations within a hospital environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while ensuring patients, visitors, and staff receive quality meal service.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment following safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, dish room, food preparation areas, and storage locations.
- Assist with meal tray assembly and food service distribution as needed.
- Stock supplies, dishes, utensils, and food service items throughout the department.
- Remove trash and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas.
- Follow food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist cooks and food service staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Work Environment
Work in a kitchen environment on a first shift schedule (6am - 2:30pm) across 5 work days between Monday and Sunday. Candidates must have flexibility as scheduled work days may change weekly. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day in a wet dishwashing station (non-slip shoes recommended but not required).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
