Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support customer enrollment, payment operations, and reporting activities for a large-scale utility pricing pilot program. This role will play a critical part in managing customer enrollment processes, validating participant eligibility, overseeing payment and reconciliation activities, and ensuring the accuracy of operational data and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, experience working with large datasets, and a background in utility, billing, payment, or other regulated environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and validate customer enrollment submissions received from account managers.
- Conduct eligibility assessments and submit qualified customers for program enrollment.
- Communicate enrollment status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the program's automated enrollment and billing platform.
- Extract, validate, analyze, and report on enrollment and billing data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Partner with third-party vendors and platform providers to identify system defects, escalate issues, and support enhancements.
- Manage manual enrollment activities for Automation Service Providers (ASPs).
- Oversee payment operations, including processing, reconciliation, and performance-based compensation tracking for third-party partners.
- Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards related to enrollment activity, billing status, and program performance.
- Track key metrics, including:
- Customer enrollment volumes
- Megawatts (MW) enrolled
- Benefiter vs. non-benefiter participation
- Billing and payment status
- Program performance trends
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend operational efficiencies.
- Support budget tracking, reporting, and forecasting activities as needed.
- Create and maintain pivot tables, charts, graphs, and executive reporting materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of business analysis experience.
- Strong experience with operational reporting, tracking, and business process analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- Data validation
- Reporting and analysis
- Large dataset management
- Experience with payment processing, reconciliation, and operational workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer programs, billing operations, or utility industry programs.
- Familiarity with SAP billing and/or payment systems.
- Experience using analytical and reporting tools such as:
- Power BI
- SAS
- Similar business intelligence platforms
- Experience working with budgets and financial tracking.
- Experience managing large datasets consisting of hundreds of thousands of records/accounts.
- Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and external partners.

This is a Contract position based out of Rosemead, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.00/hr.
