Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead On-Site Superintendent to oversee commercial solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction projects. This role requires a strong leader who can efficiently manage daily field operations and coordinate multiple teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations and coordinate activities among electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, and commissioning teams.
- Develop and manage project schedules, manpower plans, and construction sequences.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and utility representatives throughout the project execution.
- Maintain productivity goals while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Lead daily site meetings, toolbox talks, and project planning discussions.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve field issues.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on all project sites.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety programs, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and corrective action reviews.
- Verify that installations meet project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review electrical and construction documents to ensure accurate execution in the field.
- Support system testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Coordinate inspections with utilities, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and third-party agencies.
- Experience in construction, solar, and electrical project management.
- Proficiency in managing solar PV and BESS projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA 30 safety standards.
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and California Electrical Code.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills in a superintendent role.
- Experience with quality control and commissioning processes.
- Ability to conduct safety audits and enforce compliance.

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.25 - $63.17/hr.
