Job Title: Carpenter Framer – First Shift
Job Description
This role focuses on constructing and assembling wall panels, floor systems, and roof structures in a manufacturing-style construction environment. You will read and interpret blueprints, install framing components with precision, and operate hand and power tools safely while collaborating with a team to meet quality and schedule expectations.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wall panels, floor systems, and roof structures using wood and other framing materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate layout and execution of framing work.
- Install framing components, including studs, joists, rafters, and sheathing, with a high level of precision and efficiency.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively, including nail guns, saws, levels, tape measures, and other framing tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout all phases of construction.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors and other trades to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and structural requirements.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks such as trim work, doors, cabinetry, and wood framing as needed.
- Assist with general labor tasks related to framing and modular or manufacturing-based construction projects.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of framing experience in residential or modular construction.
- Journeyman-level framing carpentry experience with a minimum of 3 years in the trade.
- Strong understanding of framing techniques, materials, and structural principles.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency with framing tools such as nail guns, saws, levels, tape measures, and other hand and power tools.
- Ability to install framing components including studs, joists, rafters, sheathing, and related structural elements.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Solid understanding of safety practices and regulations in a construction or manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or modular building environment is a plus.
- Experience in rough and finish carpentry, including trim work, doors, cabinetry, and wood framing.
- Experience with new construction projects in a production or factory-like setting.
- Ability to perform basic painting and finishing tasks when required.
- Comfort using a variety of hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability, including consistent attendance.
- Commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship in all aspects of framing work.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing construction setting where framing and modular building components are produced in a structured, production-style environment. The primary schedule runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with occasional half-day Saturdays as needed. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, including nail guns, saws, levels, tape measures, and other carpentry equipment, in an environment focused on safety, organization, and efficiency. The setting emphasizes adherence to building codes and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
