Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled BMC Remedy ITSM Systems Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) platform in a mission-critical environment. This individual will be responsible for administering, configuring, securing, and optimizing the BMC Remedy ecosystem while ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with BMC Remedy AR System, Atrium CMDB, enterprise integrations, and automation using Python or PowerShell. This role combines system administration, platform engineering, troubleshooting, and process improvement to support critical operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and customize BMC Remedy AR System 9.1 and related ITSM modules
- Maintain and optimize Smart IT, Digital Workplace, and Atrium CMDB environments
- Perform platform upgrades, patching, migrations, and schema modifications
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Automate administrative tasks and deployments using Python and/or PowerShell
- Monitor system health, capacity, and application performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier 3 support issues
- Manage CMDB data quality and integration efforts
- Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and disaster recovery procedures
- Collaborate with security, network, cloud, and operations teams to support ITIL-based processes
- Mentor junior administrators and provide technical guidance when necessary
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Enterprise Application Administration experience
- 3+ years of hands-on BMC Remedy AR System administration and configuration
- Experience with:
- Remedy forms, workflows, filters, escalations, and active links
- Mid Tier administration
- Remedy upgrades and migrations
- Atrium CMDB management and integrations
- Experience scripting with Python and/or PowerShell
- Working knowledge of:
- Oracle or SQL Server
- Windows and Linux operating systems
- Apache or Tomcat application servers
- Active Secret Clearance or higher
- Security+ CE or higher certification
- IAT Level II compliant certification set
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Helix Discovery (ADDM)
- TrueSight Operations
- BladeLogic
- ServiceNow integrations
- Splunk, Dynatrace, Elastic, or Sentinel
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, RMF, STIG, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
- ITIL Foundation certification
- BMC Remedy Administrator certification
- CASP+, CISSP, or SSCP certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
