Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our growing supply chain team. This role is critical in ensuring timely purchase order execution, improving supplier responsiveness, and maintaining accurate ERP data. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of expediting orders, resolving discrepancies, and minimizing supply chain disruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute, process, and confirm purchase orders with speed and accuracy
- Proactively manage and resolve past-due and unconfirmed PO lines
- Expedite orders and coordinate delivery commitments with suppliers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communication and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate, real-time data in the ERP system
- Partner with internal teams to mitigate supply risks and support production needs
- Drive reduction of backlog, improve order visibility, and minimize expedite costs
- Support supplier onboarding, documentation, and compliance initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement (buyer-level role)
- Hands-on experience managing purchase orders within an ERP system
- Demonstrated success resolving past-due orders and driving supplier accountability
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Proven ability to expedite orders and manage supplier performance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life sciences, medical devices, or medical instruments industries
- Familiarity with ERP systems (IFS preferred)
- Expirience in supplier onboarding, quoting, or compliance processes
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and procurement workflows
Work Environment
- Onsite role (5 days/week), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Located in the 4S Ranch / Rancho Bernardo area

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
